That is a life of more than three years if ran 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This helps to reduce the cost of your electricity bill, who doesn’t like saving money!?
Why Are LED Lights More Energy Efficient?
Unlike incandescent bulbs LEDs use energy far more efficiently with little wasted heat. Incandescent lights release 90 percent of their energy as heat. Your home will be heated which in turn means you run your a/c longer and more frequently causing your electricity bill to rise.

LEDs are used in a wide range of applications such as traffic lights, brake lights, and TVs.
How Do I Dispose of LED Lights?
LEDs contain no mercury, so because of this they are easier to dispose of. Traditional incandescent lights that do contain mercury so they will need to be disposed of properly or they could cause damage to the environment and the individual. LEDs do not have the same affect on the environment as traditional bulbs do because they do not contain mercury.
When Was the LED Invented
The first LED was invented by Nick Holonyak, Jr. He was working for GE at the time in 1962. Since then the technology has rapidly advanced and costs of LEDs have dropped drastically.
